What is included in the Marketing Accelerator program?

 

Based on the feedback and the creative input from our previous cohorts, the program has become further enhanced and focused. Cohort members will have access to weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with our coaches, scheduled 2-on-1 CEO or executive sponsor sessions and full access to our Masterclass video library. Also included are virtual roundtable sessions so that the cohort members can learn from one another and discuss solutions that are working for them. Also, as a bonus, the CEO’s or executive sponsors of the cohort members will have the option of scheduling periodic strategy brainstorming sessions with a coach.

The Marketing Accelerator program will typically run from late January to early December with a month blocked off during the summer to accommodate vacations. While cohort members are encouraged to utilize all aspects of the program, we realize they are also actively running a business and thus we attempt to be as flexible as possible should a critical need arise that requires their urgent attention.

All of our cohort members share similar traits. They generally have a background or degree in business, commerce, arts or engineering. They are systems thinkers with a high social IQ. They possess strong leadership and communications skills and have a strong appreciation for the art of sales. And most importantly, they have to be recognized for their potential to not only shine in a marketing leadership role but to sit at the executive decision-making table in the near-future as a peer. Our cohort members come from different starting points as well: as existing executives, as someone currently in a marketing role and as recent hires.

 

Individual coaching sessions.

Cohort members will be able to access up to 40 individual coaching sessions over the span of the program. These 75 minute sessions will be used to customize the learning to the cohort member as well as the current needs of the organization. Cohort members will drive the learning during these sessions by outlining a list of the topics they wish to explore deeper. This approach ensures that the learning is always as relevant as possible emphasizing the “applied” learning approach of the cohort program.

Executive sponsor check-ins.

In order for a marketing leader to be effective in their organization and to apply the learnings from the program it is absolutely imperative that their CEO or executive sponsor be 100% on board and in sync. In fact, many of the topics explored during the program purposefully focus on exploring both company strategy as well as the interconnection between marketing and sales, customer success, product development and management, partnerships, human resources and overall company culture. As such, approximately every two months the individual coaching sessions will expand to 2-on-1 sessions with a coach, the cohort member as well as the CEO or executive sponsor. The coaches will be well versed on the strategic direction of the organization through the process, thus the CEO’s or the executive sponsors will have the option to book periodic strategic brainstorming sessions with a coach.

 

Access to the Masterclass video library.

Masterclasses provide a great way to go deeper on key topics that come up during the 1-on-1 sessions. Each video is approximately 60 minutes in length and can be easily accessed via password when its convenient for the cohort member.

Virtual networking roundtables and Slack channel.

Like with the previous cohort, part of the goal of the program is to build marketing capacity through many-to-many support both during the program and beyond. At the beginning, middle and end of the program we will hold a short virtual roundtable session to allow members to get to know one another and to encourage sharing. The cohort will also be connected via a Slack channel for sharing, questions, feedback and cohort updates.
